Test Data Management Lead

We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of Test Data Management Lead to join our dynamic team for our client, one of the major banks.
Hybrid – 2 days a week in office located in Down Town Toronto
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement a test data automation strategy tailored to the needs of digital banking applications, APIs, and backend systems.
- Evaluate, recommend, and deploy test data management (TDM) tools (e.g., Informatica, Delphix, CA TDM, or open-source) to support banking application testing.
- Define and enforce data masking, synthetic data generation, and subsetting policies to meet privacy, compliance, and security requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Security, Data Engineering, and Banking Product teams to define and standardize test data needs across channels (web, mobile, ATM, backend).
- Conduct a Proof of Concept (POC) to validate tool selection, process feasibility, and performance before full-scale rollout across the digital banking ecosystem.
- Stay current on financial services testing practices, TDM tools, and privacy regulations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years in IT/QA/DevOps roles with 3+ years in Test Data Management or automation strategy.
- Experience in the digital banking or financial services domain with an understanding of transaction flows, customer data handling, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with TDM tools (Informatica TDM, CA TDM, Delphix, IBM Optim, etc.) or equivalent open-source solutions.
- Knowledge of data masking, synthetic data generation, and PCI-DSS, GDPR, HIPAA compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with open-source tools such as Faker, Mockaroo, Jailer, or Datafaker for banking test data generation.
- Familiarity with cloud-based banking data services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Certifications in data privacy, test automation, or DevOps.
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology) or any other IT-related field.
