QA Lead / Test Lead

Dawn InfoTek Inc. is seeking an experienced QA Lead / Test Lead to work at our client’s and our office locations.  This role focuses on ensuring the quality, security, and functionality of online banking applications. You will serve as the primary QA point of contact between the client and vendor teams, ensuring that testing processes and deliverables meet client expectations.

Hybrid – 3 days a week in office located in Downtown Toronto, and North York

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the QA Lead on behalf of the vendor at the client site.
  • Lead the QA strategy, planning, and execution for client-facing online banking applications.
  • Develop, review, and maintain test plans, test cases, test data preparation and management, and test scripts.
  • Coordinate and manage QA team members working on the client engagement.
  • Serve as the point of contact for client QA queries, status updates, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and client-specific standards (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX).
  • Track, triage, and report defects and risks to client and vendor stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA staff working on the engagement.
  • Provide regular QA metrics and reporting tailored for client review.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of QA/testing experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead role.
  • Mandatory experience with online banking applications (fintech or financial services experience acceptable).
  • Experience working onsite at client locations, representing a vendor or consulting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in manual testing for functional, regression, and user acceptance.
  • Experience with API testing using manual tools (Postman, SoapUI, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of security testing principles.
  • Excellent client communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt to client processes, tools, and reporting standards.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
