IT Project Manager

Dawn InfoTek Inc. is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to support our consulting team in delivering multiple concurrent IT projects to a leading banking client. The ideal candidate will manage project coordination, client communication, documentation, and internal reporting, ensuring successful project execution in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Client Management:

  • Manage multiple IT projects across different workstreams, ensuring scope, timeline, and deliverables are met.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the consulting firm, the client’s project teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate client communications, ensuring regular status updates and reporting to both the consulting VP and client-side leadership.
  • Support end-to-end project processes including gathering requirements, tracking milestones, and escalating issues as needed.

Project Coordination & Documentation:

  • Track and monitor project progress using established tools and methodologies.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including schedules, status reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups on action items and manage project repositories using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Administrative Support to VP of IT (Internal):

  • Manage and coordinate meetings, and support internal operational needs.
  • Assist with internal project planning and resource forecasting.
  • Help prepare executive-level communications, slide decks, and client-facing materials.

Meeting & Communication Management:

  • Coordinate meetings between internal teams and bank stakeholders, ensuring agendas and materials are prepared.
  • Record, distribute, and track meeting minutes and action items.
  • Help facilitate clear communication between all involved parties to keep projects aligned and on schedule.

Internal Operations & Forecasting:

  • Assist with monthly timesheet collection and reporting.
  • Contribute to resource and budget forecasting over coming months.
  • Maintain and update internal systems for tracking client contacts, deliverables, and contractual obligations.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Manager role in a technical environment.
  • Experience supporting multiple IT projects, preferably for banking or financial services clients.
  • Prior experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment is a strong asset.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience using collaboration and project tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, Teams, and Zoom.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project delivery frameworks (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to build relationships and coordinate across teams and clients effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience delivering IT projects within a banking environment.
  • Familiarity with vendor-client project engagements.
  • PMP or other project management certifications (an asset, but not required).
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a bonus.
